The second day took me right across Copenhagen — from the Glyptotek’s sculpture galleries through the markets, gardens and waterfront, then up Our Saviour’s Tower and finally into Tivoli after dark.
01 / SATURDAY MORNING10:04 — 10:05
The city wakes up.
My Saturday photographs begin at Copenhagen City Hall Square, before I headed towards the Glyptotek.

02 / ART AND ANTIQUITIES10:17 — 11:33
A morning among sculptures.
I spent the morning exploring the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, from the winter garden and grand sculpture halls to ancient objects and more modern works. I finished with coffee and something sweet before heading out into the city.

03 / THROUGH THE CITY11:53 — 12:48
Streets, stalls and lunch.
I walked north through the centre, past canals and old streets, then explored Torvehallerne. There was plenty to photograph amongst the food counters and colourful produce, and I stopped for lunch.

04 / CASTLE AND GARDENS13:11 — 13:32
An afternoon at Rosenborg.
The next stop was Rosenborg Castle and the King’s Garden. I photographed the castle’s brickwork and towers, along with the bridges, garden beds and tree-lined paths.

05 / THE WATERFRONT13:58 — 14:19
Towards the colourful harbour.
From Rosenborg I continued through the streets towards Nyhavn. The bright façades, old boats and reflections on the water made this one of the most recognisable parts of the day.

07 / RESTAURANT BARR17:00 BOOKING
A stop at Barr.
I had a 17:00 reservation at Restaurant Barr in Christianshavn, between an afternoon exploring Copenhagen and an evening at Tivoli. These photographs show Barr’s outdoor terrace and dining room, along with a schnitzel and waffles from the restaurant.

08 / HALLOWEEN AT TIVOLI19:05 — 21:31
An evening of lights.
The photographs pick up again at Tivoli Gardens. Halloween decorations, glowing theatre façades, lanterns and a brightly lit pagoda transformed the park after dark. My final picture, at 21:31, captures the fountains illuminated across the water.
